That was sad because I have a box full of photos just like that and I was fond of all those people but I will not support the wtbs no matter what the cost.
I remain hopeful that others will escape their grip.

Crossing a WT line- giving "apostate" literature to my friend
by RayPublisher ini had to do it- i gave my asleep jw friend a flash drive yesterday with ray's books, info on 607 vs 587, etc.
he knows i have "doubts" and that i've read these books but he has been cool about it and had already said he wouldn't rat me out.. so i figured i would take the next step now and give him the knowledge and see if he looks into it.
this is a lot more tangible evidence and if it fell into the wrong hands they would have plenty of evidence to try and df me but i don't worry any longer, they're only men.. keep your fingers crossed lol....

i told someone i was close friends with that i had suspicions about the gb and off to the elders she went it did surprise me but thats ok it accelerated my thnking and my departure.

What is the oldest car you have owned?
by moshe inhere is mine- a 1947 chrysler windsor club coupe.
i overhauled the engine under a big oak tree- push button starter- flat head 6cyl engine- a carry over from ww2 technology.
a real tube radio, which after i fixed, could pick up am stations over 500 miles away- seats like an over stuffed sofa.

Sitting poolside and guilt-free.
by Open mind init was a couple years ago that my wife awakened to the true nature of jwism.
today is our first overnighter (sans kids).
at home this morning we called in to the k hall, listened to about 2 minutes of the public talk, had a couple good laughs and continued with a leisurely brunch.

Since we left and moved to another state it's been pretty good. Everything new and fresh especially our thinking no barriers to new ideas, I didn't realize how narrow one's thinking becomes as a jw until I left.
It's true I don't have the answers but now I read so many different books and listen to whatever lectures and ideas that interest me and I'm enjoying the search.
yes we have been to countless restaurants, museums and even tourist attractions like dolphin boat rides and dinner boat rides and the botanical gardens historic house tours and there's no guilt that somehow we should be spending our time doing the will of the org. We,ve done more in the last year than we did in the last 20 yrs.

I chose nancy Drew because I loved the ND books when i was a young girl and I wanted her life traveling around solving mysteries and she was smart, beautiful and life just seemed to go right for her.
It was a fantasy choice.

Sept.15th WT - Submit to the WT Society or Jehovah Will Not Know You
by flipper inthis was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.
of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

It's terrible how they tell you the way your supposed to feel and if you feel different in any way there's something wrong with you spiritually. Then there's the threatening consequences Jehovah is a terrorist and if you don't meet his demands heads will roll and he will continue to throw people out onto the tarmac till you stop him. Your service hours prevent him from his murderous activities.
